using DSL wireless router with cable modem

Hi,
I'm new here and have very little knowledge about wireless systems. I
am about to transfer my ISP from ATT to Wowway. I was wondering if it is
possible to continue using the 2wire wireless router that was supplied
with ATT (DSL) or will I have to obtain a router designed for cable.

If anyone could help me with this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

If you supply the model number of the 2Wire device someone can probably
help you. Without it it's speculation as some of their DSL routers have
Ethernet outputs and some don't.

It would be the WAN Ethernet _input_ that I think will be missing.
