Hallo,

If my laptop is NOT connected to our domain, the boot time of this laptop
takes about four minutes extra time compared to booting connected to that
domain.

If I look in the log files I get a message about not being able to load a
script on the server (win 2003 server). That script is about pushing
software updates and is not meant to work when NOT connected to the domain.
(actual text is in Dutch and hard to translate literally)

How can I make sure the laptop will not try to load the specific script for
four minutes if it is not connected to the domain ?

Thanks for thinking with me.

Sounds like the laptop is configured to run a Startup Script (as opposed
to a logon script).

This is most likely set as a group policy object applied to your
computer (which possibly means there is not too much you can do about it)

Have a look here to see is you can see the script: (probably won't
though if it is a GPO)

Start
Run
MMC
