userid on mapped folders through vpn

i'm trying to map locations on a remote machine throught
a vpn. the vpn is working ok, but when i try to map a
directory on the remote machine i'm prompted for a
password. in order to be authenticated on the remote
machine in need to specify a userid and password. can ME
do user level mapping?

You cannot change the logon name used to map to a share, only the password.
