We have the my documents folder created for each user on the network. Via
synchronization the laptop users can sync their offline files with the
network when they logon and logoff.

This routine works great and is a life save when a laptop crashes ....or so
I thought. My laptop crashed and I had to rebuild from square one. Which
means setting up the domain join etc. I used my original ID and password so
I can see the mydocument folder on the network. My problem is it is not
doing the sync process.

Any ideas what may be causing this behavior?

We are running windows 2003 on the server and windows XPpro on laptops.
