I mine to avoid having two people edit at the same time.

And user set given permission to our project, is it possible?? I have
used cvs-1.11.22 version. So, anybody have any idea? please tell me.

Thank you for advance.

Why would you want to do that? It seems like a very bad idea. This
goes against the basic philosophy of CVS design.

Does this help?
http://www.cvsnt.org/pipermail/cvsnt...ch/011855.html

CVS does not seem to have locking capabilities as far as I know...

Alternatively, use a "Human lock": a physical token (which can be
anything, as long as it can be carried and is visible). The developer
who wants to work on project must obtain the token before he can do so.
In the request for the token he hears from the previous developer what
the status is and if he can work on it.

Best regards,
