User login validation

Have Windows XP Pro SP-2 user workstations that attach to my Windows 2003
Server standalone. Not using Active Directory. Would like to know if there
is some simple way to cause password validation on the individual
workstations to actually occur based on the server having the account rather
than the workstation.

Simplifies logins and password maintenance, reducing effectively the number
of account logins to maintain.

you can do that by "using Active Directory"
(why don't you use it?)
