I don't know, but you might be already knowing this--
XP clients, logon in format user@domain
Say you created a user bharat, and the domain name of the
server is xyz.com. Then XP clients logon with username:
(E-Mail Removed) Where as Win98 clients logon with username
bharat only.
So if you create a user bhart, cross check in the user
properties - > Account page that Pre_Windows_2000
username is only "bhart" and not
(E-Mail Removed)
With above check, and policy settings (as informed in my
earlier response) , I could manage WinXP, Win98 and even
win95 cleint to log on.
