hi all, hi have some ips on my slack box and i want assign an ip to an user.

For example i have ips 1.0.0.1 1.0.0.2 and 1.0.0.3. I have also user1,
user2 and user3. I want that user1 can only use 1.0.0.1, user2 1.0.0.2
and user3 1.0.0.3.
What can i do ?
Now i have a single interface with all 3 ips but in that way every user
can use every ip :/

tnx a lot
Simone

1) Please don't multipost.
2) Read the response you received to your post in alt.os.linux.slackware.

Interfaces don't vary by user. If the interface has address 1.0.0.1,
it has address 1.0.0.1 regardless of who's logged in. This makes sense
when you remember that an interface has an address when nobody's
logged in and when all 3 users are logged in at the same time.

Now that that's said, what are you actually trying to do? There's
almost certainly a solution, it just doesn't involve trying to tie
network interface addresses to users.
