A little earlier today, whilst searching for information about a model
that someone had recommended in this group, I [re-] discovered a
site that turns out to have some very useful wireless device reviews
and analyses. I had heard of the site before, but had never thought
of looking on there for wireless information. The site is

http://www.tomshardware.com

A fair bit of the wireless information on there has migrated over from
another site of Tom's, http://www.smallnetbuilder.com

Just this morning [November 30th] smallnetbuilder put up a detailed
examination of the effects Atheros's "Super-G" 108 Mbps can have
on regular 802.11g (summary: yes, in some situations, Super-G -can-
pretty much wipe out regular 802.11g on adjacent channels.)

Some of the earlier articles examine cross-compatability in the
[then-draft] 802.11g devices. Looking at the performance graphs, it
turns out that different devices [even from the same manufacturer]
can behave -very- differently in mixed environments.

Now if only I had found some of this information weeks ago, when I had
more time for my research...

You'd think anandtech.com would have wifi reviews too but there's nothing on
there. Great for other reviews though.
