Use of a wireless connection

I have 2 connections :
- local connection 1, cable unplugged (my internal ethernet card)
- wireless network, signal excellent (my PCMCIA wifi card)

I have on this PC a special VPN kit that needs to see the local connection 1
plugged before it starts to work ; is it possible to have the VPN software
"fooled" by linking the local connection 1 to the wireless network?

Your VPN software may require the use of an ethernet connection as apposed
to a wireless connection (possible security reasons?). I recommend you
contact the suppliers of the VPN software to find out if there are any
reasons why you should not be able to use it over wireless.
