How to use two printers via wireless

A) Dell 5150 (WinXp) is cabled to wireless router, printer cable connected
to HP1100 printer and wirelessly to HPPhoto printer
B) G-Laptop (Vista) is wirelessly connected to router and therefore
wirelessly connected to HPPhoto printer
Everything works well

When I attempted to add HP1100 printer to G-laptop it accepted it but prints
on HPPhoto printer instead even when HP 1100 is the printer selected. It
seems to me that G-laptop can only "see" one wireless signal that is
associated with a printer.
How do I link HP1100 printer and G-laptop?
Thanks
Hank

How did you add the 1100 to the laptop? You should have "shared" it on
the Dell first and then added the printer using the share name you
assigned. This setup will work fine -- except that you will only be
able to print to the 1100 when the Dell is up and running.

Shared printer ???

You need to know the exact printer shared name and use this for the
HP-1000. It seems that the "shared" names are mixed up.

Hi
OK, with such configuration the Wireless is Not a factor. The process should
be as described by Lem.
Printer Sharing XP -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...utt_july2.mspx
Windows Native Firewall setting for Sharing XP -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875357
Windows XP patch for Sharing with Vista -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922120
The printer has to added as a Shared printer over the network Vista needs
the printer drivers as well (if it is an old printer it might be included in
the Vista's printer drivers storage but it needs to be installed.)

I can now print from Glaptop to either printer BUT only to HP1100 from
Dell...I will now take a break since I really don't need Dell -HPPhoto link
at this time

Thanks

Hi
If the HPPhoto a genuine Network Printer you need to install its software on
the Dell.
