Hi !

I have been looking for this info during the whole morning and I
couldn't find a good answer.

What I am tring to do (on a Fedora 3) is to configure my dhclient to
send two different hostnames to the DHCP server but I don't see how.

In my conf file I put:

send host-name "hostname1";
send host-name "hostname2";

but the second hostname overwrites the first one.
I don't have access to the DHCP server so the solution has to come from
the client Fedora box.

Any idea is wellcome !!!

Zushi

I've done that, but my memory on the details isn't too accurate.

As I recall it, I ended up running two dhclients, one on the
"base interface" (ethX), and another, with a separate set of
configuration (and other) files, on an alias interface (ethX:1).

Hope this is of any help,
