Could anyone tell me if it is possible to use a usb wireless adapter with my
laptop that is running Windows 98 (first edition)? I have seen that many
will work with 98 SE, but I would like to avoid buying 98 SE if I can.
Thanks!

No, Win98FE does not handle USB very well. SE is fairly competent. My
strong preference is XP, but that may swamp your laptop.
