USB could have 2 advantages. First, you don't have to open the computer to
install it. Not a big deal normally, but once you open your neighbors
computer, every problem for the next 6 months is yours. More importantly, a
USB adapter can be place anywhere for optimum signal reception. The antenna
sticking out the back is OK for close reception, but Murphy will put the
computer between the antenna and your access point. Just my experiance.
Some systems will have trouble with USB, so it still depends on what he
has. I would probably try USB first though just so you can position it for
best signal.
