The nic on my mini-itx board recently died, and I was successful in
shoehorning an old nic card into the box. I'd like to get rid of the
network card, so I'm wondering if I can access my Actiontec 1524 DSL modem
via USB, one way or the other. The Actiontec has a USB port in addition to
the four e-net ports (only a total of four ports can be used at a time),
so I'm wondering about a direct connect. I also see that usbnet seems to
support a usb ethernet adapter that is available at OfficeMax - does that
really work?

Love to hear from anyone who has done either of the above approaches on a
mini-itx or other system.

thanks for the help.

Got it. The answer is: usbnet and a Netgear FA120.
