I have bought a Synology DS-101 recently, I’m happy with it but when I
tried to backup the internal hard disk to USB disk, I never success.

I tried 3 different USB2 hd enclosures, with FAT32 and Native, the
backup will failed after about 10 minutes or after about 1 GB of data
was copied. Tried submit the problem to Synology On-line support, the
answer was the USB enclosures not competable with Synology’s USB
chipset. They offer no help on what brand or USB chipset is competable
with Synology and will not reply further email question.

Did anyone encountered problem with USB disk? Is there any solution?

Thanks and best regards,
KY.
