Hi, I'm sorry if I placed these in the wrong newsgroups, or made any
other errors - if so, please let me know. Also, I ask that all follow
ups be not made via e-mail, but instead replied under the thread. Thank
you in advance.
Unforunately, I have a pc that currently runs Windows 98. (I know, I
know.) I plan to later convert it to a Linux machine if need be, but
first I need it to be able to access a network connection, and it
doesn't have any 10/100 ports or a working dial up modem. It only has
USB ports free. I was wondering if you could reccommend any hardware,
linux-compatable or windows-specific (ugh) that would be the cheapest,
so that I can connect it to a network using 10/100 (Cat5) cables? I've
checked, there are no PCI, ISA, Serial, or other slots - only USB.
(Ease of setup isn't really a factor as long as it doesn't require any
modification of cables, soldering, etc...)
Any help you can provide would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.
