Hi Everyone,
I have a new to me Toshiba laptop which came with a US Robotics
2410 PCMCIA wifi card. The card works fine under my o/s (Linux),
but I wanted to play with Wireless a little more so I installed
a packet sniffer for wireless (kismet), and wondered why it
didnt work. Ends up that the wifi card can't change channels on
the fly.
I suspect that upgrading the firmware for this card will sort
this problem, however the firmware from the USR website is all
windows based. Regardless, I installed the card on another
laptop and ran the firmware software.
The firmware software says im using the wrong (too old) version
of the driver to be able to flash the card. So I hunted for ages
on both the UK and the US sites for USR to see if I can find any
later drivers. No luck. Has anyone successfully done this on a
2410 or similar? Can you remember where you got the drivers from
and how you did it.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Alistair Ross
