URGENT: Need to block x_forwarded_for IP at server level

As I write this, I am under a severe dDos attack. Tens of hundreds of
proxies and forged IP's, but the x_forwarded_for IP is always the same. Is
there any way, using IPTABLES, to block an IP, preferably an IP range, using
the x_forwarded_for IP?

TIA!
