Hi,

I am planning on upgrading the wireless net I have in my house and need some
advice.

I currently use a older DLink 802.11b AP. I am planning on upgrading to
802.11g, but my immediate need is for a repeater. I have a number of dead
spots in the downstairs area (the Dlink AP is upstairs). I assume I could
get a DLink 802.11b repeater, but that does not sound like a good use of
money. Also, I am not too sure if the older units are compatible. Is there
any way I can go with a newer 802.11g repeater and be compatible with my
existing AP? If not, does anyone have recommendations for 802.11g APs and
repeaters?

Thanks,

jerry
