Two key benefits:
- Improved wireless security (the WEP implementation is
buggy on all 802.11b devices and can be broken fairly
easily -- WPA resolves this)
- Faster transfer speeds among computers in the LAN
(but doesn't accelerate Internet access, unless your
connection is greater than 5Mbps)
Problems:
- Loopback does not work (if you run a web server, this
may be a nuisance)
- Some installation problems
The best way to install it, is to run the wizard -- but
before that and go to the MN500 and look for WAN
connection information (dynamic or static IP...). Also
set a recovery point on XP on all the PCs, so if the
MN700 doesn't work straight away and you decide to go
back to MN500, you can just undo the installation
