Upgrading Draytek router firmware

Upgrading firmware for Draytex 2600Gi router. Just discovereed wht it wasn't
flashing - I was trying to do it wirelessly and the instructions say you
shopuld connect by cable. I have never connected by cable to the router
(it's not near the PC's). Is it simply a matter of connecting a cable or is
there more to it than that?
