Upgraded from 95 to 98, lost network connection

I just upgraded from 95 to 98. I thought everything had
gone well, but I was unable to get on the internet through
my DSL connection. After further checking I discovered
that I wasn't connecting to my home network. TCP/IP looks
OK, but I can't "see" my second PC and the second PC(ME)
can't see the new 98 PC.

I've tried reloading the drivers on the network adapter
and I've even tried another NIC, but no luck.

Thoughts?

BillB

Run WINIPCFG.EXE on both machines, how do the various settings (especially
IP address, netmask and DNS/DHCP servers) compare between the two?

I just did the same thing recently. After i set all
network parameters to match the other computers, I had to
run WINIPCFG and "Release" and "Renew" to be able to see
the network and the other PC.
