how to update ldap directory?

hello i got openldap running, i am created a few entries manually for
an address book, is there a way to do this faster/easier, should i
just write a script in perl to do this, or is there something out
there to do this quicker. thanks.

I have been trying out a java based GUI tool called "LDAP Browser/Editor".

I ve been using for a couple of days and seems a little bet better than the java
admin.
