Hi, Paul. All you need to do is set the primary network logon to
Windows Logon and log on with no password.
It's safe to delete Client for Microsoft Networks, but it has a
possibly undesired side effect: Windows 98 won't remember the password
for a dial-up Internet connection if you delete the Client. You'd
have to re-enter the password every time you connect.
