Unstable connection with sympatico!!!!

I built a server with linux redhat 9.0 with an adsl connection to
sympatico using the adsl-setup option...

The connection works great but I installed ddclient because i need to
update www.dyndns.org to have my ftp server accesible from everywhere.
But the problem is...

I have a dynamic ip adress and the connection work great for an hour
or two... and the address start refreshin about twice a minutes and
dyndns takes some time to propagate the ip so my ftp is not up when i
need it..


Any tips about how to make this stupid connection more stable!!!!
