If you have Windows 98 Second Edition, there's no need to delete the
password file. To "unsave" just that one password, use the Password
List Editor, which is in the Tools\Reskit\Netadmin\Pwledit folder on
the Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM.
To disable password saving:
1. Run the registry editor.
2. Open this key:
HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Poli cies\Network
3. Create a DWORD value named "DisablePwdCaching" and set it to 1.
4. Reboot.
