Do I need to go to the "safely remove hardware" icon in
the tray to stop my USB wireless card (MN-510) or is it
fine just to unplug it?

You're going to get an error message, but when you plug it in again it'll
recognize it. 8-)

hi,

Try the steps given below to hide that icon in the taskabr:

Right click the taskbar and go to properties->>customize.
besides safely remove hardware, choose always hide and
click Ok.

This should make the icon disappear !!!

Regards

Joe
