Hi there,

I have recently experienced a problem on my server whereby I get the:

"You don't have permission to access .../ on this server."

message when I try to access the files through the browser, I've read
through all the postings, and I do run CHMOD on the directory to allow
access. This seems to fix the problem.

However these permissions seem to reset by itself overnight, I find
that I have to chmod the directory every morning I come into work.

Does anybody have any ideas why this could be happening? I am really
stumped!

Thanks in advance
Any help is appreciated
Darren

It could simply be that there is no 'index.html' file in the
directory and you don't have the Indexes enabled.

Then you have some scripts that check them and set them back to
what he thinks they should be. Check the crontabs
