Uninstalling Home Network

I am having problems with my home network XP to 98SE through router and I am
finding it impossible to get rid of the original installation in the XP.
How do you do it?

What is happening at the moemnt is that when I try to config a new
installation in the XP by suing the Assistant it goes as far as the box
where a blue computer is passing over computer icons into a house and tells
you to wait. You wait and wait and it never comes to an end. It should
stop and ask you to insert a diskette for use in the other computer, but it
doesn't.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jack

Hello Carey

I guess I did not explain myself too well.

My network is working ok. I have a little problem or two, but I know how to
configure the network.

What I want to do is to get rid of it altogether!

I want to be able to restart from the very beginning but find that the
Wizard when it gets to the stage I described below, just goes on forever.
The same happens if I try to create a bridge.

So my problem is not to set up a network, but to reset things to what they
were originally so that the Wizard and the Bridge creating, works.
Something is stopping the process from finishing.

I have set up the network manually and don't need help there, which is what
the web page you suggested addresses.

Any help appreciated.

Jack

Just go into your network properties in the control panel and delete all the
protocols, clients and services... that'll get rid of it permanently.

Thanks Carey

I can't do it right now, but from what you say I should leave the icons of
the adapters alone. I have been trying to delete them and that's probably
where I screwed things up, and that's probably why the Wizard and the bridge
building can't finish.

Do you have any idea of the most likely cause for the Wizard getting stuck
where it does?

Jack
