Hi
I have Been given an unbranded asdl modem and I trying to find out a bit
more about it
info I have so far

chipset made by GlobespanVirata
chip sat name Titanium Gs8100

on paper work thank comes with it stats Model A-502

any info?

Nope, no mention of ADSL by the OP. (I'm taking the piss, BTW - asdl
does not equal ADSL, in case you hadn't noticed, and some ADSL modems do
respond to AT commands,)

ASDL does not exist afaik. And newbie's often get confused with ADSL
and ASDL.

I never stated that they didn't.

No, indeed you did not. That comment should have been addressed to Conor
- I've been a little distracted today :-\ (When I grow up I want to be
a big distracted.) Which is my excuse for not noticing that the OP was
ADSL-related, and my feeble pedantry/humour with the asdl/ADSL thing.
