unconfigure home networking

A while ago I tried to set up home networking, but failed
miserably. Now, I cannot seem to disable the feature and
my laptop cannot go to sleep.

I have tried to right click on the icon in the toolbar, and
go to disable, but still shows the computer as configured
for networking. I've tried to go through the networking
wizard and un-configure what I have done, but that hasn't
done anything.

Does anyone know what I need to do in order for the
computer to no longer think its networked and sharing files?

Thanks,
Bill

Just disable the connection as you did before. That's all you need to do.

Carey,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not completely sure what you
mean by "disable the connection."

Thanks,
Bill

Using your own words: "I have tried to right click on the icon in the
toolbar, and
go to disable"

The only networking feature that I know of that disables "sleep" is
ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). You can un-install ICS in Control
Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Windows Setup | Communications.
