If I promote a file server to a DC, can I create UNC shortcuts on
workstations to applications on the DC and have the apps available when
logged on to the WS locally?

TIA

hi,
depends of application , maybe some applications need to be instaled
locally(or have some configurations locally), so only to create a shortcut to
application may not work.

Hello Dragos,

Many thanks for your input, the main apps (office etc.,) are all installed
locally, it's just garbage the LEA's spew out that I am installing on the
server and up to now the shortcuts appear to be working.

Again, many thanks,
TWK
