You may need to open ports (app-triggered or persistent).
You need to lookup which ports each app uses and then
open them up on the router. Go to the htpp://192.168.2.1
and then look under security/port forwarding
Notice that some software automatically opens the ports
they need (e.g. Windows Messenger), but I didn't try with
ICQ or AIM
