Unable to start "Routing and Remote Access" due to an specific err

I would like to create a VPN connection in Windows XP but RRAS service dies
prematurely with service exit code 2.

By typing "sc queryex RemoteAccess" in the command prompt, the following
details are shown:

SERVICE_NAME: RemoteAccess
TYPE : 20 WIN32_SHARE_PROCESS
STATE : 1 STOPPED
(NOT_STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,IGNORES_SHUTDOWN)
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 1066 (0x42a)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 2 (0x2)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0

FLAGS :

How do I fix this problem?

I suggest you post this in microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web for more
