Hi folks, just wonder if anybody has come across this before.

Windows Server 2003 rc2 - Mapped drive, on server, if you try to run exe's
via explorer you get the "windows cannot access this file or folder, you
may not have permissions" try runas, same message. All users have
read/write/execute and it works fine from other servers in the network.

Run the exe from a command prompt and it works fine. You can view other
files like txt files through explorer ok, and if you copy the exe locally to
the server it also runs fine.

Anybody had this happen to them?

Thanks

Hello Pablo,

Yesterday was a post in the microsoft.public.windows.server.general group
from user: swwalsh

"New security measure for windows. When importing a .exe (downloading it
form the net or another comp), Windows now blocks it for security measures
(I am guessing to stop viruses and trojans). Login with the domain account.
You must right click go to properties and click unblock to allow the software
on your machine. This will resolve the problem"

Best regards
