We have a site that is unable to map drives to a Win2000
server using \\servername\sharename. It works fine using
\\ipaddress\sharename. Windows XP pro workstations at the
same location work fine.

All Win9x workstations have dsclient install and WINS
configured.

All servers and worstations are in the same MS Domain.

The server w/ the shares is on a differnt sub net
seperated by routers. At the workstation location is a
Win2000 server that is DC and also DHCP, DNS and WINS
server. WINS replication is set up and working. Basic
network functions (ping, tracert, DNS lookup, etc.) work
fine between the sites.

The primary WINS server for the workstations are the local
WINS server with the secondary be the WINS server at the
other site.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Andre
