unable to log in to ipop/imap

I'm having trouble with my popserver.

I'm using ipop from pine 4.60 and configured xinetd. So far all okey....

Now, when trying to connect to the server the following senario appers:

Looks like no useraccount is accessable, but it works fine with pine!

I'm not using either shadow or pam for authorization!
