I have two desktop computers. One uses XP and the other
uses Windows 98. Both computer were networked together
fine until I had done some upgrades on both. I am not
really sure what upgrades that I had done that caused the
problems as there were several at once that I had done.
After which my computer running on Windows 98 SE is no
longer able to locate any other computers on my network.
Please help.

Thank You

Is there a router/hub/switch involved?

Check your TCP/IP properties and confirm that the upgrades didn't reset
soemthing.

What do you get when you open a DOS prmopt and type "ipconfig /all"?

BRRRRRT!

I'm sorry, that should actually be "winipcfg" rather than "ipconfig /all".
