unable to install/unstall software for wireless

I have had wireless on my pc/laptop for awhile. It appears that the software
on my pc has been corrupted as it will not let me do anything with it. When I
try to uninstall it says I have a read only file that needs to be removed but
I do not know how to do it... Thanks
