I work in a psychology lab and there are multiple computers connected to the
same network so we can share information on one drive. The drive now
currently says it is a "disconnected network drive" in the "details" column.
If I try to open it, I get a message saying that "The network path was not
found," and "This connection has not been restored." Does this mean that the
computer containing the drive has shut off, or is there some way to reconnect
my computer to the drive? Thanks.

hi,
u can try the following, unplug the network cable and restart the computer.

attach the cables and go try the connection still the same issue,
please try this,

go to start - run - then type the following command -

netsh Winsock reset

click ok.
this would fix if not restart again and check,

let me know what happened.

Hi Bill,

This seems to be an issue with the drive which is shared or the computer in
which it is stored.

First check if the computer which contains the share drive is not turned off.
Secondly, check the permissions of the share drive, if it can be accessed
by 'everyone' or by any specific user.
