Can someone please help with the following issue. When I attempt to connect
to a server via UNC from certain servers I am getting the following error
returned 'No network provider accepted the given network path'. I am able
to connect to the server if I replace the netbios name with the FQDN or IP
address. I can ping the server in question using the netbios name - I can
also see the netbios name resolved to the correct IP address when I look at
the cache using the command line 'nbtstat -c'.

I'm at a loss.

Thanks
G

Thanks Robert, but unfortunately I was unable to find any pertinent solution
to this issue from the search results you've posted.

Just to add a further note - I am able to connect to server's resources from
one of my Domain Controllers and all of my PC's without a problem. I have
compared the NIC config's and can't see anything different.

I then get the listed shares available for the server. If I then do a 'net
view \\remotepcnetbiosname I get a system error 53 returned.
