This is the default settings for the security reason and all traffic except local should go to the remote gateway. You may have your administrator to help you to access the internet. If not, another option is changing the default gateway.

Hi,
After I have setup a VPN sever on the Windows 2003 Server, I found that I
cannot connect to internet anymore (ex. Browsing with IE or getting Windows
Update) but the VPN server function is work fine. The local network
resources is still available but the internet function is not. Just want to
know is it the behaviour of VPN server ? Also, similar in the client
computer, once I connected to the VPN server, the internet function is also
disabled. But if I disconnected the VPN connection, every thing resume Okay.
Can anyone help me to solve these problems
Thanks
BTW, here is some information of my settings :
In the VPN server (Windows 2003 Server Standard Ed),
I have 3 NIC in which :
1. A fixed IP assigned from my ISP (ex 218.103.a.b) for
connection from remote client from the internet,
2. A internal IP (192.168.42.c) to connect to local network and,
3. A internal IP (192.168.1.d) to connect to another local network
IN the VPN client (I have tested from a remote site)
There is only 1 NIC and the IP is manually type (192.168.16.e)
( When the VPN connection is established, I can use all the remote server
resources in 192.168.42.f and 192.168.1.g from my remote client PC)
