I have a small 3 pc P2P network, 2 PC's are running Win 98
and the third is running XP. The problem I am having is
that one of the Win 98 boxes (boxA) can browse and see the
network and the XP box but, the second Win 98 box (boxB)
can only see itself in it's own network neighborhood.
No error messages appear when boxB is started and when
going into network neighborhood and try to browse the
network, no error messages appear either. I can ping all
the boxes using their IP addresses but, when I ping
\\boxB, the host is not found. A shared application runs
over the network and both Win 98 PC's use the XP box as
the 'server'. All have mapped drives (when working
correctly). I believe that my next step may be to un-
install and then re-install networking on boxB unless
anyone out there has a better answer. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rob.
