One more to the earlier couple of stories .. just like buses - you
wait for ages, then 3 come along )

UK Broadband surpasses 3 million subscribers

Oftel have announcened that the number of UK Broadband subscribers has
just tippled over the 3 million mark since the technologies inception
within the country - helped in part it seems by the increased focus on
narrowband internet access by Oftel.

Content is important, says eMinister

Demand for broadband technologies itself within the UK is insufficient
itself as a core driver for the acceleration of broadband, according
to eCommerce Minister Mr Stephen Timms, as the UK finds itself failing
to accelerate as fast as some comparative neighboring countries.

broadband is more readily available today and with growing competition
amongst rival companies, prices will surely fall sharply in the comping
years allowing even more subscribers in the UK.
