Contention is one reason - 10:1 is the last figure I heard quoted for
all SDSL IP Stream based products.
The other is SLAs. BT will provide an (almost) water tight SLA for
its customers - so the reliability of SDSL is *much* higher than
ADSL..
There is a caveat to all this as well mind. BT IP Stream SDSL will
not support any voice on the line. So a dedicated line would be
required as well.
