Been a while since the last posting, and so some of this is not really
*news* per say.

And dont forget June's competition ! Details on the homepage @
http://www.uk-bug.net/.

July's competition has been confirmed as well - so watch out for that too!

Andy, I think your site is good....and it looks quite professional. But
it is marred by grammatical and spelling errors. Perhspa you could
employ a proof reader or just ask a friend to look over it??

For example (and I'm not having a particular 'go'; just pointing out
that there really are errors):

That's 'per se'.

That's "ads" (without the aprostrophe)

etc.

Just in the newsgroup, it isn't a great problem. But on the site...to
take one story...

para 2, line 4: 'hole', not 'whole'

para 4, line 1: should be "you're", not "your"

I hope you'll take this as constructive criticism...the stuff on the
site is more important than the bits here, of course. It's good...but is
spoiled by the little things. Your image (and believability) is damaged
by any error, unfortunately.

*Every* comment re: Bug is taken as constructive.

Not an excuse, (but a reason none the less) a couple of the articles
were posted by external sources who evidently didnt spell check. Yes,
one should check the spelling myself I guess before publish, but I was
rushed for time, and on the quick read it looked fine.

Maybe Bug needs to hire a proof reader

I think so...the errors in the article mentioned were both things that
would not have been picked up by a spell check.

I'm just a fast-typing (and tired at the time) individual. I don't care
what anyone thinks! I can spell...I just can't type...

I assumed (wrongly) that it was deliberate :-) Peter M.
