As usual .. its been a while .. plus the wife has finally discovered the
"pleasure" in shoe shopping. How many damn pairs of shoes can one woman
buy ??? And why does the bloke have to carry them all ??? Geeez !

Prompted by the link above to an antenna accessory which doubles your range
I suggest you have a look here

I was sceptical but tried it anyway, it took a piece of cardboard, some
kitchen foil a Pritt stick and about 15 minutes. To my utter amazement it
worked! I used the parabolic version.

Bug got a sample from Tritium, which didnt seem to make much difference
I believe (Steve tested it, not me)

So I'm was sceptical if it worked too - but your success has me
inquisitive

It is bound to work provided you have an external antenna to start with and
the reflector is made correctly.
"You cannae break the laws of physics capn" as Scotty once said.

I work with radios and sometimes putting a handheld transceive ron the roof
of a car can bring up signal strengths by several times (this is due to the
ground plane effect).
You don't need to physically connect something in order for it to have an
effect with RF.
