UK ISP Blueyonder are tomorrow expected to announce a upgrade to its
broadband subscribers, which will see their cable broadband connections
increased by 50%. The best bit? Well, its for free.

The article says there is expected to be a 50% increase in speed with no
price changes, which would make it...

Proposed new Blueyonder service with tariff

Current speed New speed Price per month
512k 768k £27.99
1Mb 1.5Mb £37.99
2Mb 3Mb £52.99

Sunil

If this happens, AND they increase the upstream, it could tempt a number of
subscribers to stay. I know I was abuot to leave for a more competitive
service.

I was a BlueYonder customer (1Mb) and I did leave... It is we who left that
have forced BY to change their products/prices to be more competitive.

I wont be rushing back yet, even though their internet service was very
good. I am with CentralPoint (2Mb) and am reasonably happy.

That's perhaps the most interesting question. Is there a coverage map
for the UK, that includes TW and NTL, please ?

http://www.broadbandmap.co.uk/cablefran.htm shows franchise areas but
not necessaril;y service areas (Cumbria, Lincolnshire for example)

http://www.dti.gov.uk/industries/tel...adband_map.htm shows
where there are two terrestrial services which are likely to be cable
& ADSL
