Given that Bug is just about to celebrate its 1st birthday, we've today
launched our 3rd monthly competition.

Whats up for grabs then ? 1Mbit uncapped ADSL and a top notch Zyxel
wireless ADSL router. Oh - and you'll get handed your prize over dinner
for two at a posh nosh resturant in London.

Details on the homepage @ http://www.uk-bug.net

Good Luck !!!!!!!

(can someone act as a proxy for my entry ? ;o) )

I'd much prefer the cash in lieu of some posh nosh restaurant, and you
could be my guests at one of the local pubs up here... I'd not only
buy the food, but the drinks, and probably have change from 20 quid !

Last two times I went to London were only for flights to the USA...

I'm sure it is a great place, but having moved from the south coast some
15 years ago, I would need paying several hundred thousand and be given a
comparable property, and cover for inflated service costs, to move back now!

Peter in N Wales.

PlusNet <http://tinyurl.com/24ymz> - I recommend them and save some cash.
Depends on account that is opened by new customer, but good value ISP IMO.

Well, I just filled out the form - twice. The first time errored since I
clicked on the submit button without realising that I had to move further
down the page - a usability issue that could be fixed?

The second time I got an alert box with a thank you message or somesuch.
Then a page loaded with the following text [I edit my details and the
answer]:

"insert into August_2004_HiVelocity ( Timestamp, Name, EmailAddress,
TieBreaker, Answer, PasstoHiVel, PasstoZyxel, BuyNextHardware,
EncourageVoIP, Factor_Price, Factor_Recomendation, Factor_Reviews,
Factor_Wireless, Factor_Setup, Factor_RegFirmUp, Factor_Brand, Factor_PCI,
ModemOrRouter, Factor_Choose_ISP, CurrentSpeed, CurrentContention )
values( "Wednesday 25th of August 2004 01:26:09 PM", "leexxxxx",
"(E-Mail Removed)", "xxxx in the xxxx!", "xx", "1", "0", "12months",
"nothing", "0", "1", "1", "1", "0", "1", "0", "0", "router", "quality",
"1meg", "20" ) "

Can you confirm that my entry has actually taken place or is the script just
writing to the page instead of inserting the data to the database?

Hi Lee - entry received @ Wednesday 25th of August 2004 01:26:09 PM. I
was doing a bit of work on the script(s), but there has been no
functionality breakdown.

I'll look at where the T&Cs tickbox is with a view to changing it.

I think the top-most box should maybe move above the submit button?

Thanks again for the rapid response.
